Open Question: stray dogs. How can I feed them. I am in Moscow for a week. I read their life is awful.?

Why city animals have such a hard time to live with humans in cities? Cats are made in-door cats eating canned food, and all of the get castrated. Is this a an animal life? Is nature a better choice?

Open Question: my post has been banned because my CAT has been attacking the post man?

electronic door door
Since she was a kitten my cat squeak has been collecting our post and bringing it to us in the mornings. We always thought this was cute until one day we received a letter saying our post would be stopped because a vicious animal in our property was attacking the post man and drawing blood most days. When we next saw the post man we explained that we only own cats and our 1 year old cat probably thought he was playing when he was putting his fingers through the door ( I don't understand why he is putting this hand through the door anyway as he is only meant to pop the letters through and we have easily put post through without putting our hand in!!) Anyway after a few rude awakenings of the post man banging on our door in the early hours complaining about our cat again we started to shut the front room door, only to discover that the cat has learnt how to open doors now so our postal service will be stopped and we have to go and collect our mail from royal mail every day!! I am outraged at this as i can understand dog attacks but it is a 1 year old cat for gods sake and if you saw her you would agree that she is a big softie!!! Has anyone else had a problem like this?

Open Question: Found One Roach In Apartment? Are There More?

dog door for walls
Okay so the deal is I just went to make sure the doors were locked and there was a roach by the front door. We just moved into this apartment last Tuesday and we had no roaches before. Could there be more here, or did it probably crawl in from someone else's apartment? Edit: Okay I just saw another one crawl in from under our glass patio door as I was typing this. Please help. Also I just remembered that at night when I take my dog to the bathroom you can see the little "waterbugs" or roaches I presume like crawling across the sidewalk and stuff. However the roach I found by the door was an actual brown roach with like wings, not the typical black "waterbug" that everyone gets here.

Open Question: A bunch of people just came down to MY house and started harrassing ME. What should I do?

dog door for walls
Me and my friend have some neighbors who never control their dogs. Several times, I've had to almost wreck my moped trying to avoid hitting them, and one time, I actually did hit it, but it was ok. That was a long time ago. These dogs always come to our house and start barking, and finally, we were fed up with it, and my friend threw a little yellow ramp looking thing at it to get it to go away. It landed far from the dog, but the dog ran down the alley yelping. The neighbors came up and started yelling about how they should call the cops, and we said we should call animal control. Then, with the annoying "I'm better than you" pucker face, they said the dog catcher is their cousin, and they said they hope the dog actually does bite us. Several hours later, me and my friend were walking down the street when these dogs come running after us. The owners started yelling at us because we allegedly threw metal at the dogs, which we didn't, of course. They didn't even try to catch the dogs, so they kept running around us barking and snarling while the owners were yelling at us. We said we might call animal control. One person actually yelled at my friend about his dog. What's ironic is that his dog is kept on a chain inside his fence, and only gets out every now and then. As we tried to keep walking away and not start a fight, they said "you better keep walking!" Then after we were home for a few minutes, my friend's cousin comes up from their street. We walked out into it to meet him, and he says they were yelling at him for some reason. Then, suddenly, this huge mob of people comes up the street. One of the dog owners came up and got all mouthy with us, and with a tone of voice that would make a grown man cry, she said "Which one of you was bowing up to my daughter?" My friend started to say none of us, but she cut him off. She started pointing back and forth, going "was it YOU? WAS IT YOU!!!! WAS IT YOU?!?!?!?!?" Then, she decided that I was as good a target as any and started to yell at me. My friend started to say again that we didn't do it, and she said "Be quiet!!! THIS IS NONE OF YOUR CONCERN!!" And I told her, in as calm a voice as possible, that it is his concern, and she needs to stop backtalking us, since we didn't do anything. Then she said "where do you live?" And I said she didn't need to know. Then she pointed at my house and said I live there. I said for her not to go on my property, but she went. My friend said for her not to go and wake people up. She went up and pounded on the door at this point. (For those keeping score, we so far have- harassment, trespassing, and disturbing the peace.) She yelled at me, onle to have it so that I'm the one yelling when the door is opened. My sister comes out, and the situation looks like I'm the bad guy. So then, my sister is trying to get me to apologize just so this idiot would leave, but I have more dignity than to apologize for something I didn't do. She kept on yelling at me because I'm 16 and her daughter is 10, and she kept saying I said "What are you gonna do about it?" while standing close to her lying daughter. She kept saying that she had a whole bunch of people (note that they are close friends or family) that can back this up. I kept saying I had a witness, but she wouldn't let him get a word in. This whole scene takes place on MY porch. Finally, my sister has to go get Mom because she can't tolerate it anymore. After this person yells at Mom for about five minutes, Mom breaks down and apologizes for me, for threatening her daughter, which I didn't actually do. So finally, they left. They made it all the way to the road, where they proceeded to sit down. They sat, right square in the middle of the street. Then, for the next five minutes, they let one of their kids try to steal our cat. The only reason we have one is because he stole the other a while ago and it died(draw your own conclusions, we don't know for sure that he killed it, but it *was* healthy). Finally, we had to catch the cat ourselves and put it in our bathroom, and me and my friend had to go home, simply because of a bunch of idiot neighbors. Like I said, I didn't do anything. I try to avoid conflict if I personally can, but if someone I don't know comes up to me accusing me of stuff, I'll gladly have conflict, which is the only reason I had to treat this crazy person the way I did. She kept saying that since she was older, I had to show respect. Well, I told her that if she came to me with respect, I would have showed it with no second thoughts. But she came up to us mouthing and accusing. Since I didn't do anything wrong here, what can I do about this?

Open Question: Feed back for the beginning of my story(only a few paragraphs)?

dog door for walls
I created a horror story but not sure if it's good. If it makes a difference at how good or bad my writing is, I'm 13. A chain of silence was broken by the door eerily creaking open. A horrid scene was exposed, followed by a blood-curdling, high pitched scream of the young girl who stood in the arch of her parents’ bedroom door. The girl continued her heart wrenching screams as she clutched her worn teddy bear, trying to move her stubby legs, but not succeeding. Her body went numb, her vocal cords venturing on with their screams of fright. Suddenly the cry for help was muffled, his hands swiftly clasping tightly over her petite mouth and nose. Grasping for air, the girl scratched and bit…nothing helped. As young as she may be, Gracie knew exactly what was going on, her life was only going to last a few moments longer, she knew she wouldn’t she tomorrow. But something changed before she fell unconscious, she heard bells. He retreated, thinking the last eye-witness was dead, thinking he would get away with his felony and hoping this would not be the end of their killing spree, but there was one thing he knew was certain, he wouldn’t get caught. He could see out of the corner of his eye, the police, their sirens, their flashing lights of blue and red, the neighboring apartment buildings and houses of the lower city lights flicked on, hoping to see what all of the commotion, which had awoken them from their peaceful dreams, was about and the faint sounds of police dogs below. His brows arched up with glee, a small grin appeared on his face, knowing that this would be like taking candy from a baby or playing a practical joke -- easy. He hesitated before going through with his escape plan, one of which he concocted beforehand rather than on the spot like the others. He knew the police would come inside soon enough…he waited. Not soon after, the door downstairs had been kicked down, a loud crash made it clear that this wasn’t just the police, but a weapon that he wouldn’t have thought that they would’ve brought. His thoughts made him stop in his tracks, but the sudden rough stomps running up the spiral stair case made him continue almost instantaneously. He saw rays of light coming from both stairways, this affected his plan little, but still…he couldn’t help but wonder. He let thought go, and then continued his instant escape. His thoughts of the back yard guarding plans were pin-point exact, only a few police. What imbeciles, he thought, but disliked the sounds just yards behind his own personal being. He hadn’t climbed out the window just yet, knowing that knocking out the guards before escaping, would be almost impossible, for there would be numerous groups of law reinforcements, he instead hid. He climbed, there were secrets of this house that hadn’t been know, even by the law, including hidden passageways. As he finished adjusting to his spot, the police rushed in, ramming the down doors and weakly supported walls as they went. He knew his trickery worked for while he waited he led traces of not only a different escape route, but leading forensic laboratory researchers towards an enemy, one of which was going to be their next victim, but he rather have him suffer instead. Suffer like he did, for years…and now he was just simply returning the favor.

Open Question: Refusal of my in door cat in my flat owned by HA.... can I fight this?

electronic door door
I have recently moved into a ground floor flat owned by the local HA. I had a cat before I moved here but left her with my parents, but my parents circumstances have now changed and they are no longer able to look after her, I contacted my HA suggesting I had her here due to the fact is an indoor cat anyways so will never be in the communal entrance/areas of my flat. Their response was: the Association’s policy is that no cats or dogs are allowed in our flats. I appreciate that your cat is house trained and has no need for the use of communal areas but the Association would not be able to make exceptions to the rule. The reasoning behind this is to prevent others in the block from believing that they too, are allowed a cat in the property which may not be house trained. Can I fight this at all, as it is not my fault that my neighbour may not be able to house-train their animals!?
